Under One Roof at a Glance
Under One Roof is a community heritage project based in and around St Mark’s Church in Shelton Stoke on Trent. The aim of the project is the restoration and conservation of this important Victorian building. Under One Roof is funded by a major grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund with supporting funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, Staffordshire Historic Churches Trust, National Churches Trust, Whalley's Quarry and Edward Cadbury Charitable Trust.
A programme of learning sessions, creative activities, talks, research and events will enable people to share and understand local heritage. The project explores the history of migration into the area and those who came to work in the potteries, pits and steel works and more recent arrivals.

Photo Challenges
Under One Roof has two photo challenges that you can join in with.
You do not have to be a professional photographer to take part, you just need a device with a camera and be keen to join in.

Your stories of St Marks and Shelton from past and present are very important.

Join the
Friends of St Mark’s
The Friends of St Mark’s group was set up to support the project.
The Friends are helping write the funding application.
The group is made up of members of the PCC, local residents and other people who have an interest in St Mark’s and want to help with the project and plan the future. The Friends meet monthly and have enjoyed several speakers and been involved in planning and training.
